Creami pint won't fit or lock? Check these 4 things
Nine times out of ten it's a frozen hump or a pint filled past the max line. Scrape the top flat with a spoon and try again. If it still won't seat, you may have the wrong pint size for your model.
1. Overfilled or a hump on top
Liquid expands when it freezes. A pint filled past the max fill line or frozen at an angle grows a hump the paddle can't clear. Let it sit 5 minutes and scrape the top level with a spoon.
2. Wrong pint for your machine
Original, Deluxe (24 oz) and Swirl pints are not all interchangeable. Check the size printed on the pint and our pint compatibility table before buying spares.
3. Paddle or bowl lid not seated
The paddle must click into the outer bowl lid, and the lid must twist until it locks. The machine won't start until it does; that's a safety lock.
4. Pint lid still on
Take the storage lid off the pint before it goes into the outer bowl. Easy to miss at 9 pm.
Questions
Can I use 24 oz Deluxe pints in a regular Creami?
No. They're taller and won't fit. Use pints made for your model.
Why won't my Creami start?
The outer bowl and lid have to be fully locked with the paddle in. If the lights flash, unlock and re-seat everything.
