Storing Creami pints: how long they last and how to re-spin
Unspun bases keep well for about 2 weeks in the freezer; spun leftovers are best within a week. Smooth the top flat, lid on, refreeze, and always re-spin before eating again.
Leftovers
- Smooth the top flat with a spoon. Bumps make the next spin hard.
- Lid on, freeze flat.
- Next time, press the same program or Re-spin. Leftovers freeze hard.
Freezer burn
Air is the enemy. Keep lids on, don't leave half-empty pints for weeks, and label the date on the lid.
Batch prep
Make 3–4 bases on Sunday and freeze them flat. Spares pints and lids make this easy; a scale keeps the protein ones consistent.
Questions
Can I refreeze a melted pint?
If it melted in the fridge or freezer door, yes: stir, refreeze 24 hours, spin. If it sat out for hours, throw it away.
